BONNY LG CHAIRMAN SEEKS PARTNERSHIP WITH EVOMEC ON PROPOSED ROAD PROJECTS AND FLOOD CONTROL

The Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Amasenibo Hon. Abinye Blessing Pepple, DSSRS, has expressed his administration’s plans to partner with Evomec Global Services Limited for the execution of developmental projects in the LGA.
A statement from the Office of Media and Communications,
Bonny Local Government Council states that the Council Boss disclosed this while receiving the Chief Executive Officer of the Evomec, High Chief Peter Onajite Esievo, at his country home in Bonny.
He stated that the projects, which will be fully funded by the Local Government Council, are aimed at reducing traffic congestion, improving road connectivity, mitigating flooding, and enhancing the overall socio-economic well-being of residents.
The proposed projects include the construction of a culvert and drainage system at Akiama Junction, as well as the construction of a bypass road from Simidia Junction to Water Well 5, with modern drainage facilities. Chairman Pepple described the projects as critical interventions that will provide lasting solutions to infrastructure challenges within the area.
In his remarks, High Chief Peter Esievo commended the Chairman’s development-driven leadership and assured that Evomec Global Services Limited would deliver quality infrastructure in line with global best practices, guaranteeing durable projects that will stand the test of time and serve future generations in Bonny LGA.
Highlight of the meeting was the inspection of proposed project sites and the ongoing Bonny Road Expansion Project by Evomec, spanning from Renaissance Gate to Bonny Coal Beach and the Perekule Royal Palace. Chairman Pepple expressed satisfaction with the quality of work, he described the project as being of international standard and praised Evomec as a reliable development partner to both Bonny Kingdom and the Local Government.###
