RIVERS STATE MINISTRY OF HEALTH SETS UP INVESTIGATION COMMITTEE
Following series of allegations leveled against several tutors and administrators at the Rivers State College of Nursing Sciences, the Rivers State Ministry of Health has commenced an immediate investigation into the following allegations:
– Unauthorised payments for project topic approvals
– Sale of examination questions and marking schemes
– Bribery for guaranteed pass.
An independent investigative panel has therefore been constituted for this purpose and comprises the following:

Members –
- Dr Maria Krukrubo
- Dr Golden Owhonda
- Mrs Sotony Isokariari
- Dr Vincent Wachukwu
- Secretary -Mrs Daima Martins Nwigbo
The panel will be charged with the responsibility of investigating these allegations and forwarding a comprehensive report of their findings to the Ministry of Health. Furthermore, an audit of all project-related fees charged to students over the past academic year will be conducted.
The student body and general public are hereby invited to note that all school-related payments must be made ONLY through approved official channels of the Rivers State College of Nursing Sciences.
The Ministry of Health has zero tolerance for fraud, extortion and other such practices, and remains intent on upholding the principles of equity, justice, transparency and professionalism. These alleged infractions are thus not taken lightly, as they stand to undermine the high standards of quality training and clinical care which the Ministry of Health espouses.
Therefore, anyone with any concrete information or evidence that would assist in the investigation is hereby encouraged to come forward. Please be assured of the protection of the Rivers State Ministry of Health. For emphasis, kindly be aware that all those who are found guilty of the alleged infractions will be held accountable and made to suffer the consequences of their fraudulent actions.
